 Dr. John F. Corbett

Jos. H. Lowenstein & Sons, Inc., the New York based manufacturer of raw materials for hair colors, is pleased to announce that Dr. John F. Corbett has joined the Lowenstein staff as a consultant for scientific matters.

A world-renowned expert in hair colors and regulatory affairs, Dr. Corbett recently completed an illustrious thirty year career at Clairol, where he was Vice President-Scientific and Technical Affairs.

Dr Corbett has authored over sixty original research papers on organic and dye chemistry and holds many patents on hair dyeing technology.

Since its inception in 1970 Dr. Corbett has been a member of the Hair Color Technical Committee of the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association. He served as Chairman of the Association’s Scientific Advisory Committee and has been Chairman of the International Hair Color Technical Secretariat since 1975.

Augmenting their professional research staff, John Corbett joins Lowenstein’s own Irwin Schwartz in offering customers exceptional expertise in hair color chemistry and regulatory affairs.

Mr. Zvonko Markovich

Jos. H. Lowenstein & Sons, Inc. is pleased to welcome Mr. Zvonko Markovich as its new Director of Technical Services for the company's fur and leather divisions. World respected for his expertise in leather and double-face shearling processing, Mr. Markovich will be a creative addition to these divisions.

Mr. Markovich is a chemist with a degree in Leather Technology. He spent 13 years leading Ciba-Geigy's Leather/Fur Division (1975-1988), and subsequently joined their headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. From 1990 until the present, Mr. Markovich has been Technical Manager of Ciba-Geigy's Fur/leather Division in Greensboro, North Carolina (USA). The company name changed to "TFL" in 1996.

Mr. Markovich will be contributing to the technical expertise in both the double-face and leather areas as both a research chemist and technical consultant to leather and fur processors.
